Verification levels
Every delivered response carries a level. It is the most important field in the product: a declaration of which checks passed, not a promise of exactness.
There are three.
single_source: one source answered and passed the deterministic checks (L1/L2). The response is non-empty, schema-valid, fresh, and internally consistent. No independent source confirmed it.
consensus: two or more independently measured sources agreed within tolerance. Independence is measured, not assumed. Sources found to read the same upstream count as one observation, not several.
anchored: the value is tied to an on-chain reference (for example a Pyth price feed) that does not depend on Metera. This is the strongest level available today and applies to token.price.
